We are thrilled to share some exciting news that celebrates the spirit of collaboration, sustainability, and growth within our school community. The Parents and Friends Association of Parklands School is delighted to announce the successful completion of three brand new vegetable beds and the implementation of a Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) recycling system. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of several key contributors.

City of Albany: We are thankful for the funding provided by the City of Albany, through their Community Waste & Sustainability Grants program, which played a pivotal role in turning our vision into reality. Their support highlights their commitment to promoting sustainable practices within our community.

2. Bunnings, Albany: Bunnings generously donated materials that were essential for constructing the vegetable beds and setting up the FOGO recycling system. Their contribution underscores the importance of local businesses investing in the betterment of our schools.

3. Parklands School P&F: Our own P&F played a crucial role in funding this project. Their dedication to enhancing our school environment is truly commendable.

4. Dedicated School Community Volunteers: We cannot forget the dedication and hard work put in by several school community volunteers. Their tireless efforts brought this project to life, and their passion for sustainability and education shines brightly. In particular, we recognise Pete van Schoubroeck who was the project manager.
