Extra Curricula Activities

CLASS MUSIC
Class music features at Parklands School for students in Pre Primary to Year 6, and includes rhythm, basic music theory and performance. The School has sufficient musical instruments for all children to participate in class performances.

The School also has a Choir, the Pride of Parklands, for students in Years 2 to 6. The Choir rehearse at lunchtime under the guidance of our performing arts teacher. They perform at School Assemblies and at events in the community.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSON TUITION
Further tuition may be available in voice, piano, music theory and guitar with private tutors providing lessons during class time.

SWIMMING LESSONS
In-term swimming lessons are conducted for a fortnight each year for students in Pre Primary to Year 6 at the Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre.

BASKETBALL
Parklands School have basketball teams that compete in the local basketball competition during Terms 1 and 4. Currently we have six teams from Years 3 to 6 competing in the local basketball association competition.

SOCCER
Parklands enter teams in the local junior soccer association competition on a Saturday morning during Terms 2 and 3, catering for all levels, boys and girls of school age (Kindergarten students need to be 5 to be eligible to play).

Teams train once a week after school.
